Very good quality food. Portions are kinda small. Price is high on drinks and extras. I would go again but order water and share with my 2 year old instead of paying almost 10 bucks for a blob of mac n cheese and a few fries and lemonade.
I apologize for taking the time out of my day to write this review, but I feel as if my opinion should be heard and some type of corrective action needs to be taken.
We ate from breakfast menu. It was authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced. We'd highly recommend. Can't wait to try dinner menu.
The food was decent, but REALLY overpriced. The salad bar should be shut down by the health department because it is NOT sanitary whatsoever. I’m also bothered by the wait staff who tended my wife and I, she was extremely rude and careless. It was probably just a bad day for the restaurant, but I was not happy.
I wish I lived closer again. Frequented The Highlands when I lived in Wyoming, IL. It was a welcome change to the culinary scene of the area (don't get me wrong, I love Casey's). The salads are packed, the bread with their Guinness/oil for dipping and a unique variety in menu and specials makes The Highlands a top restaurant in the region and keeps a nice bar too (copper top bar). If you're in QC/Kewanee/Princeton/Peoria and want to see a small town gem then scoot over to Bradford.

I wish I could rate this place -7 stars. The wait staff is absolutely terrible. Rude and short. The owner, or what appeared to be the owner, talked about other customers and employees she didn’t like. The food was mediocre and way too pricey. I wish I went to McDonald’s instead, their service would’ve been better then what my family received. Never going back.
